“When the Donkey Defines Victory”

Sermon given by Pastor Robb on Palm Sunday, March 24, 2024.

Continuing this year’s Lenten sermon series The “Bad” News about the Good News.

Covers Zechariah 9:9-17 and Luke 19:37-44.

Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday had very important context compared to the city’s contemporary occupation by the Romans, and the long held hopes of his people who wanted change and peace. Can we see the fullness and depth of what Jesus was communicating, even if it challenges some of our context and expectations, too?
