Tips for Care:

Winter squash comes in several forms and varieties, some of which are grown in the Daily Bread garden. They have similar care instructions so they are grouped together. Water frequently and heavily. Add compost into the soil regularly. Check underside of leaves for common pests like squash bug and squish.

Harvesting:

Winter squash need sufficient time to grow, ripen, and cure. From sowing, some varieties take 90+ days til they are ready. Refer to corresponding seed packet to determine readiness.
