Tips for Care:

Lettuce has shallow roots and require consistent watering. Water if the soil is dry down to 1” deep.

Harvesting:

Heading types of lettuce (iceberg, etc), wait until well-defined heads have formed and cut with a sharp knife or garden shear at the soil level.

For leaf-types, pick when leaves are large enough to eat. Snip leaves from the outside, leaving the inner leaves to mature.
