Eggplant

Tips for Care:

Water eggplant deeply but infrequently, approximately 1-2” a week. Grow in well-drained soil. Watch out for flea beetles, which can be combated with neem oil.

Harvesting:

Eggplants taste best harvested young. They are ready when the skin rebounds after applying gentle pressure with your finger. The fruit’s skin should have a uniform, glossy color. Cut the fruit from the plant with a sharp knife or garden shear.
