Arugula

Tips for Care:

Keep soil moist, especially in hot weather which an increase risk of bolting. Thin seedlings to 6” apart. To prevent boltings in warm season, cover with shade.

Harvesting:

Arugula tastes best when young; older leaves can be tough and overly bitter. Leaves should be between 2” - 3” long when harvested. Pull up the whole plant (snipping off the root) or harvesting leaves as needed. The white flowers are edible; trying sprinkling over a salad. However, once the plant has bolted, the leaves will be too bitter.
